Another Gamma Idea

Instead of keeping feds/renegades as enemies in this sector, there should be another side introduced. Someone will have to come up with a name for it, but it would make this sector more interesting because we would have to learn their strengths and weaknesses. To make it even more difficult, these three factions could all combine their technology together to make some very interesting results. So basically each squad you fight would contain a variety of chassis from each faction. Don't know how that sounds, but it's definitely something to think about.

While were on the topic of introducing new bots, we should incorporate a chassis that can hold two reactors. Since none of the other current bots have this feature, it would make a good prototype bot that had to be won from achieving some kind of award in tals.

Customizable Bots

Everyone should have the option of choosing the color for each of their bots. This idea is simple enough that would just require some editing of the current bot selection to have a variety of colors. I propose this idea because it seems boring to be looking at the same exact color of bots all the time. A variety will make the game seem less boring over a longer period of time.

Other Gamma Mission Ideas

Base Evacuation:
A nearby base is about to be overrun by Federate Troops. Intel suspects that there are important supplies stored in this base that we cannot afford to lose. Get to the base before the invasion begins, warn the control tower and evacuate the base. Move all of the base forces and supplies safely to a well-fortified base in the region approximately 21 geomets away. It's imperative that we reach the base before the Federates do because then we'll have to fight them too.

Staging Area Massacre:
Our satellites have recently discovered a large cluster of powerful enemy bots nearby in what appears to be a staging area. We are unaware of what these bots will be used for, so it's important that we destroy them before they take action.

Hostile Takeover:
Some of our leaders have been captured by the federates during a failed attempt of transferring them to a new base. The federates are currently holding them hostage in a nearby facility and will kill them if their demands are not meant. This is not allowed. Take your squad to this base, fight your way through the perimeter, recover the leaders and bring them back to the base. Since this mission is very critical, we are equipping you with one of our special lieutenants, which will provide your squad with extra shield deflection.

Research Facility Investigation:
A mysterious research facility has been discovered nearby. We think the federates may be using this facility to develop new weapons. If this is the case, the facility will need to be eliminated. Take your squad to this base and inspect the premises. If it is in fact a research facility, you will be ordered to take it out and bring back any experimental weapons you can recover for testing. Be warned: The fed's are conducting many types of experiments in this region with new equipment, so it's important to proceed with caution.

CyCarrier In Danger:
One of our CyCarrier's was returning to base earlier today but ran into an energy storm which has disrupted their power cores, grounding them in one spot and leaving them vulnerable to enemy attack. Your mission is to form a blockade around this quarantined area until and hold back any enemy forces until the storm subsides. Don't venture too close to the crash site or your bots will be grounded too.

Tals Additions

Before we jump to adding a new sector (which im getting to) alpha needs a bit of work. First off Goshawk squads need to get stronger as your squad gets stronger just like everything else in tals. The TRAF's also need to have another award in the vaults after you get the Ravager even if its just a cash reward. 2 New achievements need to be added. The first should be for maxing your TRP and the reward should be a second cy chassis of your choice. This should be the only time the Cy Bul and Cy Crus are available because they are so much stronger then the other cy chassis. The 2nd achievement should be made for killing 100 battle cruisers and the reward should be the Evicerator super weapon. Max TRP should also be raised to 25k and a Cy Bul and Cy Crus should be added to the support units list. Proposed stats for the Evicerator are as follows:

GAMMA SECTOR

This aint your mama's sector. This is were even long standing vets should be struggling. We are talking uber bm needed to even be able to stand a chance. 10k TRP should be required to enter. A list of 7 new missions are as follows:

Federate Havoc Control

Large Federeate Super Squads have been wreaking havoc in the sector. We need you to eliminate them to make the outlands a bit more safe.

An overly fortified bunker has been spotted in the Gamma Sector. We believe it to be housing a high priority target. Take out the bunker.

After 50 succesful Gamma missions you are given the options to take this mission. The object is simple Destroy Vangould. He will be guarded by 2 Omega Cruisers and he will be in his new Omega Hulkram Tank. This mission can only be done once

Mining Bases

First off
The bug that are mined should always be visible. Personally I've defended over 10-20 tons but it still sais 0 tons defended off some weird fucked up reason.

but now my idea.

Tons mined should be personal. The clan score is comprised of the combined number of tons defended by all players, thus in kalorfulls case, all the tons his accounts defended are only accountable for the clan he is in right now.

That way you'll mess up the clan tactic kal is using right now to dominate the clan scores board, and make it less interesting for him to do keep doing this similar tactic + you make it more interesting for other clans to build bases too as they actually have a shot at some clan-vet-rank.

Achievements/trophies

System like on xbox live where you get medals for each achievement you complete These never reset and you just keep them on your profile (another new feature) to show off. Possible achievements:

Finish 1st
Finish top 10
Each Tals award
Get all tals awards with perfect mission success rate
Mine 100 tons in mining mission
Play a full set without letting your KC get above 3000 (not including at set start, so once you drop below 3k, you never go back above)
Defeat MCs and get cychassis without mercs
finish top 25 without getting greed once
Play 10 sets in a row
etc

These would only be counted if you have contrib status.

be4 any new changes

the game needs desperatly a real player forum thats "official" and that works
both in game and outside and a real web site a fixed up base game that shows logs of what happened who attacked and who defended ..and bugs to be fixed
of course newer tougher post talsia place for the uber squads we got

i got a few more ideas bouncing in my head i'll post em later

i want to add .. a long time ago in a previous era when colin and marty ran the game
colin once asked me "so what would i do to market and increase players in the game ?
its a question pretty much any business asks "how to increase customers" in a nutshell

in any business that has a product
1)have a good product
2)good customer support both be4 and after selling the product
3)marketing which is selling yourself to customers, acquiring a name

lets analyze this for a moment (ive been in sales for 20 years )we have a product its called cybots
its a good product that could be better
we have soem players usually the same i dunno consistent 50 or 60 players
we have many more that moved on
can we acquire new customers?to whom would we sell ourselves to? and where would we advertise?

one idea is to give certain considerations to players who bring in friends who never played be4
(considerations i.e like 1 code good for 1 months play )
point number 2 is customer support for so loong the product (i.e the game) has been ignored
for so long the game has been stagnant heck even i get bored at times espoecially early part of the game
yes changes must be made it has to be made so every set is a bit different just to keep it honest and fun

and customers (thats us who pay) have to be treated as err well customer not as enemies who are muted or banned at first offense players shopuld be warned in private by a monitor that if they continue they will be muted (i know damo and or colin and or griswald used to warn me in private message numerous times i should watch it )

Post Tals

I mentioned this already, but heres a start to the idea:

Either create a new area after tals, or rework tals as so:

War of the Outlands

Before entering, players must choose a side in the war. Could be 2-5 'teams'.
Once you choose a path, there is no turning back. Each team has a strength and a weakness, but all sides are equal. There is a unique and focused goal for players of each team. 

During the last days of the set the teams receive bonuses for how well they achieved their goals and the war begins. Players will compete squad vs squad until all squads are eliminated. Last man standing wins the war for their team. Some sort of award is given to top player/top team.

Base Bug

One of the bugs that needs to be fixed for basing is the bug that makes new bases wait 2 minutes before attacking others... I'm not sure if this was intentional or a bug, but either way I think it should be revised. The only way I see this as being fair is if we go with Rays idea of making bases harder to break. Otherwise it gives the other clans who already have a base a chance to raze you before you even get a chance to attack.

it should increase multiplier instead of keeping it @ x2

Temporal vet rank

Instead of resetting vetrank there should be another vetranking system.

Instead of alltime vetrank this system works for the last 10-20 sets (not sure on the precise amount but a years history would prolly work quite nicely)

The points you get are the same as normal vet rank but the vet rank you had from a year ago would fall of the scale.

Hence keeping this list with rather new vets

you could prolly call it a "top-player-rank"

It should also have it's own colour sceme just as veterans etc.

top 25 top-players should for instance have a yellow colour and the top one gold

Another superweapon (or maybe another ravager)

Right now there is nothing you can do with accolades when you got all techs and 3 oblits. There is no use for getting more oblits etc.

How about a superweapon you can buy in talsia
costing 10.000 accs and 500 Trps

It should be a cranked up oblit, probably similar to the ravager.

The cost of the weapon is soo expensive that you can hardly get more than 1. Further more it will make sure people do more missions, so safe acc's.

Muting

I got muted today for a single offence blablabla

but I feel the 10 hours is way to long for a mute. Surely for something as "harmless" as a single curse of anoyance.

Further more mutes should be for public chat only, private messages and clan chat should be available for the player.
Or at least there should be some way to appeal to the mute to an admin. Preferably the admin who placed the mute.

To make mutes "better" I also suggest to put them on player ip's not on player-accounts.

Now most people who get muted just change accounts instead of sitting out their mute.

Buying of uplink

What I would like to see is that you can buy percentages of mod uplink in your squad. For instance, you buy 10% energy efficiency for 1000 trp (dunno about the amount or the prize). By doing that you can make your own decision to go for trp or for a squad fully boosted because of the mod uplink without use that many modules in your seers.
Well, I hope this makes sense.

And on a different note, I don't like to reset Vet ranking, therefore it is vet ranking.

Ranking

No matter what, under the current scheme the top players will set into boredom once they get amfds etc, and this is what drove many people away. A way to counter that is reinstate tourney, or maybe new areas in which players can battle each other - eg. having different criteria for entering a squad for different arenas other than BM (bot types, no. of bots in squad, weapon bm limit), and of course change basing :p

Something else which should change ranks is having a score for other areas of cybots which affects your rank score (so it's not based purely on exp which is boring) although only slightly ofc. If some 'drastic' changes are made then this would level the playing field I think.

There needs to be more equipment types added (new tech could also give excuse for introducing a new outlands area) instead of just changing BMs around, because the stuff we have now has been done to death - bases should be much harder to kill, instead of each and every setup being HS'able. Basically we need an element that will allow lower level bots to be somewhat effective at basing as well as the higher level ones (perhaps patrol/basing/tourney/arena-only equipment?) so that people can keep bases up without being on 24/7.

Some people are missing out because they feel it would take too long to get blue, or w/e. An old Hall of Fame list could be kept for the top vets/clans, and then reset everyone's vet points, make everyone equal again.

And if changes ever get implemented, would be a good idea to send a newsletter to every email ever used to sign up for cybots :)

I miss the good old days where you could click much faster...

I'm not sure bout p2p (pay to play)

but the current system is working ok I guess and this way the new buyer will prolly want to invest

New Account Types

Voice activated accounts along with bots that can talk.

Leviathan History

Ths Leviathan Class Chassis has a rich history. It was the bastardized version of several decorated and battle hardy cybots that had finally been destroyed after years of battle. By interspersing several different classes of bots into one supersized behemoth, it captured the "spirit" of each of the fallen warriors of the cybernetic battlefields.

Future Idea

This may seem a bit too far planned ahead, but it's still an idea... It would be awesome if we could turn cybots into a 3-D game where YOU could take the place of any bot in your squad and attack as you would normally, but you would be the person making all the actions instead of clicking a mouse.

Update Tals Sector

Basically it would be nice to add a few more sectors to Tals to give us something to look forward to after mastering alpha. It will also make longer sets worthwhile because the more experienced players will have the opportunity to patrol a new sector with more difficult enemies so they're not bored to death in alpha.

reason why is because with val it easy for us old players to just get right to it but for new players it a little hard. with the orbie start it will make things a little easier and it will give more choice from the start. plus it fun

i know many people will agree on this one but after a few days the game gets mad boring right after u can get your ravager.. and been able to beat True Guard with out any merc
we need an End game mission where you need like 150 mission completed and over 20m bm and the quest would be like a base defend type but you will have nothing but cruisers mix in True guard or a new General from the Fed and like only hardcore enemy's to fight
